My main research focus is on identifying metacognitive mechanisms involved in the development and maintenance of addictive behaviours (alcohol use, gambling, nicotine use, and engagement with technology) and psychological distress in health conditions (such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Parkinson’s disease). The central aim of this research endeavour is to develop and evaluate new psychological treatments which target metacognitive change.
